Trump's Family Member Seeks Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has considerable social media presence
Kai Trump will have numerous well-known supporters when she makes her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns numerous golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"He practically suggested to go out there and relax," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has participated in only three events recently and holds position 461 in AJGA listings.
However she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player in the world," the young golfer said.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He told me to go out there, relax, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against some of the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, featuring second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, especially among the next generation.
Kai has a massive following and has started a personal fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
