'Living a Nightmare': Families of Missing Teens Desperately Seek Answers After Ski Resort Fire

The loved ones of teens lost after a tragic inferno at a bar in a Switzerland's alpine town are enduring an excruciating period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their children publicly.

The blaze ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the middle of the night of New Year's Day. Verified video show the roof structure catching alight as bottles with sparklers are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have warned that it could take an extended period to formally name the those who perished of the tragedy, which killed numerous partygoers and hurt another scores more. Authorities stated on Friday that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process still underway to locate the remaining few.

In the interim, loved ones have been using social media to plead for clues about their friends who were present at the venue that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

She continued that some of his friends had been located with burns covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they endured an absolute nightmare."

The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that six of its citizens have not been located.

"A companion said they ran away after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he couldn't see him anymore," she recounted, adding he had been wearing a identifiable gold chain.

One of his educators stated, "He was known for his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. Often ask if help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also present on New Year's Eve, according to sources.

Her brother has posted an appeal online, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.

Consular authorities from her country of origin say they are actively engaged with the situation.
