British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Road Accident
Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has been released from care, officials in Lagos announced on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”
