Barça to Host Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
